“A small cog with a length of about five centimeters blocked the chassis. In its mounting location also have different deformations, and it is unclear how it happened,” said Trubs.

The Bureau has already completed the inspection of the aircraft and seized the broken parts for further examination. Cog sent for metallurgical test in the Netherlands to ascertain the quality of the material.

Saturday at Riga airport has made emergency landing the aircraft company AirBaltic from the Latvian capital to Zurich. The plane had refused front of the chassis, and had to be put on the “belly”. This is the first case, when the aircraft Bombardier Q400 NextGen noted problems with the nose gear. As a result of incident nobody has suffered. Airline AirBaltic announced that due to an emergency will carry out the technical inspection of all aircraft Bombardier Q400 NextGen.
